INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY & INNOVATION (ITI)

Our Mission

The Instructional Technology & Innovation (ITI) team works to enhance learning experiences. We collaborate with faculty and staff to implement innovative instructional technologies - when they are effective - to drive pedagogical success for all students.

How We Achieve This

We achieve this by partnering with faculty to understand their pedagogical and technological objectives; we design practices to meet diverse students’ needs; we implement evidence-based, reflective educational practices; and, we recommend Digital Transformation and AI tools to foster inclusive learning communities. We then support these initiatives through their life cycles.

Put this together and we empower and support instructors to improve student engagement in the classroom leading to better learning outcomes, measurement, and evaluation, higher integrity processes, and clearer feedback loops for teaching.

Who We Are

We are a team that is passionate about learning and teaching innovative instructional digital transformation. Our mission is to serve you to accomplish your goals. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to work with you.

Dan Keating

Clinical Assistant Professor + Faculty Director of Academic Support

Welcome to the web home of the Instructional Technology and Innovation Team. The ITI has one purpose: to make the teaching experience better for the instructors and students. I’m honored to work with this team of forward-thinking, dedicated professionals committed to using technology to advance the quality of education. The work we do is a constant process. We learn what’s developing in Educational Technology - particularly AI - and look for the right places to support the instructors as they choose to integrate those ideas, methodologies, and technologies into their courses. We’re here to help. There’s a lot we can do together, small wins and big wins alike, in the spirit of Meliora.
